Signs of danger to the newborn
· Respiratory rate more than 60 per minute.
· Change in the shape of the ribs (when breathing).
· Low or high temperature.
· Poor feeding.
· Yellowing of the skin and eyes.
· Decreased activity.
· Convulsions.
· Cyanosis.
The mother should go to the hospital as soon as possible in case she or her child shows signs of danger.
