It is well known that women, children, the elderly, and the disabled are the weakest groups in society, and their suffering multiplies in cases of wars, armed conflicts, and environmental and health disasters.
We find that women are more likely to lose their lives due to acts of murder or rape. Some women are also subjected to torture or the separation of mothers from their children and human trafficking, and the consequent suffering to meet the burdens of the family and resist oppression and occupation due to the absence of the husband or the breadwinner.
